Microfilms of over 12,000 UFO sightings compiled by the US government are now available online at projectbluebook.theblackvault.com. They were captured under the US’ Project Blue Book program, which ran from 1948 until 1970, during both the Cold War and the Space Race. Thousands of Air Force files on UFO sightings and investigations are now on the internet. UFO enthusiast John Greenewald had been filing freedom of information act requests for nearly two decades. A week ago, Greenewald uploaded 130,000 pages of declassified reports to his online database. His website, The Black Vault, claims to have archived 1,322,017 declassified government documents since he began in 1996. “Since 1996, I have filed more than 4,000 FOIA requests to nearly every government agency, regarding nearly every government secret that exists,” writes John. “I was 15-years-old when I started, and now, nearly two decades later, this archive is the result.
